Turbo Pro Project: News

2011 European tour- Attention overseas visitors - March 8, 2010

We're now planning a 2011 European tour.  It's a tall order and if it's to happen we'll need some help.  Contacts such as promoters, festivals, clubs, house concerts, etc. would be great.

We notice that we get a lot of overseas visitors to this site and would love to hear from you.  If you can provide any leads or contacts that pan out we'll reward you!

Our target regions are Switzerland, Germany and possibly France, however, we are open to other regions in Europe (and out of).

If you have any information please use the 'contact' tab for email links.  Thanks!

Feature article in 'Relish' - December 4, 2009

Recently the Winston-Salem journal's fine entertainment publication, 'Relish', did a nice article on us.  The paper copy had yours truly on the cover and a nice two page spread.  You can find the online article here on Banjoman Dan's blog.

New music project - July 15, 2009

Recently we were approached by LA/Boston based artist Kianga Ford about collaborating on a project; one that is part of a series of scored narrative audio tours called "The Story of This Place".

This project was commissioned by SECCA as part of the 2009 public art program "Inside Out: Artists in the Community II". It will be unveiled sometime during the National Black Theatre Festival August 3-8.

We look forward to working on this and will be busy bees until then!

New Year, New Journal - January 5, 2009

Happy '09 from the band! It may have seemed like we dropped off the planet in December but worry not, we got a great start on our next CD. Look for new dates to pop up as we confirm them. Hope to see you out there. We look forward to the New Year!

Festivals, festivals, festivals! - October 17, 2008

We played our last festival for the season Sunday, October 12th at the Loki music festival. The weather was absolutely beautiful as was the venue. It was held at the scenic 'Deerfields' south of Asheville NC. We played to a large, energetic crowd at the Hillside stage. For an encore we did our rendition of Dueling Banjos (Turntables vs Banjo).

Stay tuned for media from this and other events (if you have any to share we'd love to have it). It was an honor to share the stage with all the amazing acts this year at the festivals. It was also a pleasure meeting new fans and sharing our sound with you. We hope to continue this trend next year. In the meantime, this fall/winter we'll be working towards our next CD and doing some club dates in between. Stay tuned, tell everyone ya know about us, and we hope to see you soon!
